Stellenbosch and the weekend

Weekly Update!

Here is what I did this past week. On Tuesday I went to Stellenbosch, a university town close to Cape Town. I went with my boss Dr. Mulder and his wife Pat . It was a five hour drive but the landscapes were unforgettable. Green hilly pastures, vineyards, beautiful coastline and impressive mountains.

Cape Town

I met Johan, an engineer at the consulting company we are working with and we had a very productive meeting. We are working on the design of a constructed wetland for the waste-water treatment.
I only had a few hours to see the city but next time I go I won't be lost. I met some students at the office and said that the winter break ends July 18th so the town will be more fun then. I came back Wednesday.
We had an office social Friday in honor of Larissa who is moving back to Cape Town  next week. Afterwards we went  with some coworkers to check out the nightlife in Kynsna and had a great time.
Today we are going to a Mexican dinner where I will certify the authenticity of the food.

Here are some pictures that I forgot to post last time of the Thesen Island and The Lofts hotel.

I'm going to start working on putting all the little clips of video I've taken together on one coherent video and uploading it. So.... stay tuned for more adventures!

P.S. Here is the link to Matt's Blog so you can check out what he is up to (He has more pictures!)
